Upcoming Tours: 03 Jan to 17 Jan 2013
JHB - Northern Drakensburg - Lowveld - Kruger National Park - Swaziland – Zululand - St Lucia Estuary - Wild Coast – Hogsback - Garden Route - Route 62 (Klein Karoo) - Cape Augulhas (southern most point in Africa) - Cape Town (Wine Lands, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Peninsula etc)

The "Big One"; enjoy the magnificence of the absolute best of South Africa.

Starting in Johannesburg, the tour begins with a bang as the ride heads east meandering down into the lush bushveld via a myriad of excellent mountain passes and ports. Sights include Blyde River Canyon and God's Window. An overnight Bush Camp and Kruger National Park game drive experience will be enjoyed.

Then it's into majestic Swaziland, the last ruling monarchy on the planet, often referred to as 'Switzerland in Africa'. Heading back into South Africa a full rest day is spent at St Lucia Estuary, home to the UNESCO Wild Life Heritage Site: iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This game drive will include a 'Braai' (BBQ) lunch on the beach and an opportunity to do some snorkeling in the rock pools.

Riding on through the home of the Zulu People, Zululand (Kwazulu Natal), we head on via the warm East Coast to the scenic Oribi Gorge another beautiful canyon. The untamed 'Wild Coast' beckons next. After a night on the warm Wild Coast we head inland and up to Hogsback, a hidden misty mountain hideaway legendary for inspiring much of JRR Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ epic trilogy. Yes JRR Tolkien was born in South Africa.

After a night in ‘Hobbiton’ we head back to the coast and the famed Garden Route. A second rest day is spent exploring the Tsitsikamma Forest at Storms River on the Garden Route. Often referred to as the world in one country, you would be forgiven for thinking that you've seen it all… After riding through the ‘Garden’ the aridly beautiful mountainous Route 62 meanders before you through the rugged Klein Karoo (small Karoo), we will spend a night in the peaceful Karoo.

We then return to the coast and Africa’s southern most point, Cape Agulhas. After two weeks of glorious riding you enter Cape Town via possibly the planets most spectacular coastal route: Betty's Bay to Gordon's Bay. The fairest Cape has been reached and you have Conquered Paradise. Well not quite yet, your final day will be spent exploring the Cape Peninsula including Table Mountain, Cape Point, Cape Wine-lands. Extending your stay in the Mother City by a day or two is highly recommended and we will be delighted to facilitate additional nights with our preferred accommodation.
